Inside, Outside, and Everything That Needs Prep

A good paint job is mostly preparation. Holes and cracks get filled, damaged drywall gets repaired, and edges get cut clean. Because drywall and carpentry are also in-house, the same crew that paints can fix what it finds instead of painting over it.

Walls and ceilings

Single rooms, whole floors or the whole house, with walls and ceilings cut in clean at every edge.

Baseboards, trim and doors

Baseboards, door and window casings, crown moulding and interior doors, painted to a clean, even finish.

Kitchen cabinets

Cabinet refinishing and repainting, a big part of a kitchen refresh when the cabinet boxes are still solid.

Exterior painting

Siding, soffits, fascia, trim, window frames and decks, painted or stained.

Brick staining

Staining or painting exterior brick to change the colour of the house, with careful colour matching. Our brick staining comes with a 60-year warranty.

Prep and repairs

Filling, patching and drywall repairs before the paint goes on, plus popcorn ceiling removal and skim coating when a ceiling needs it.

Interior jobs range from one bedroom to a whole house. Walls, ceilings and trim are priced separately, so you only pay for what you want painted. Exterior jobs cover siding, trim, soffits and fascia, plus brick staining or painting when you want to change the look of the whole house.

How a Painting Job Runs, Step by Step

Painting jobs move fast, so the planning up front matters. The owner personally oversees every job.

  1. You call or send the form

Tell us which rooms or which parts of the exterior you want done. We answer Monday to Saturday, 8am to 10pm, and respond to inquiries within 4 hours on average.

  2. Site visit

We measure, look at the condition of the walls, ceilings, trim or brick, and point out any repairs that should happen before painting.

  3. Free written quote

You get a written quote that lists exactly what is being painted. Our contracts are fair to both sides.

  4. Colours and scheduling

You pick the colours and finishes, and we book the days. Most rooms take about a day, so we can usually tell you how many days the job will take before we start.

  5. Prep and paint

We cover floors and furniture, repair and prime where needed, then paint. Ceilings first, then walls, then trim.

  6. Walkthrough and warranty

We walk through with you, touch up anything you point out, and clean up. Every job comes with our written workmanship warranty.

Painting Questions

How much does painting cost?

Before HST, a typical 10x12 bedroom with walls, ceiling and trim is about $450 to $700, and a whole 1,500 sq ft home is about $2,250 to $3,400 for walls only or $5,800 to $8,600 with ceilings and trim. Exterior painting typically runs $3.50 to $7.00 per sq ft of wall and brick staining $8 to $15 per sq ft of wall. The condition of the surfaces, the amount of trim, access and distance move the price, and every job gets a free written quote after a site visit.

How long does it take to paint a house?

Interior painting takes about 1 day per room, and a typical 3-bedroom house takes 3 to 5 days. Exterior work depends on the size of the house and the weather, so we plan those days with you when we book the job.

Do you repair walls before painting?

Yes. Drywall repairs, patching and skim coating are part of what we do in-house, so damaged areas get fixed properly first. For bigger repairs, see our drywall page.

Should I stain my brick or paint it?

Both change the colour of the house. Stain soaks into the brick, while paint forms a coating on the surface. We do both, and we will look at your brick on the site visit and explain the options for your house.

Can you remove a popcorn ceiling before painting?

Yes. We remove popcorn ceilings, skim coat where needed, and paint, so you get a smooth ceiling from one crew.

Do you paint doors and windows?

Yes. Interior doors, door casings and window frames are part of most interior jobs. They are counted per door and per window in your quote, so you can choose which ones to include.

Do you use subcontractors?

No. Every trade is done in-house by our own crew, including the drywall repairs and carpentry that often come up on painting jobs.

Are you insured, and is the work guaranteed?

We are WSIB certified and carry $5M in liability insurance. Every job comes with our written workmanship warranty, and the owner personally oversees every job.
